Andrew Since you don't have a separate listing on Goodreads for Vancleave, here's what I said on Amazon ...

One of my favorite restaurants in the world is Olivier's Creole in New Orleans. They have this zucchini appetizer that is spicy ... but not hot. The chef knows that the two can be separated for greater effectiveness.

I've never had anything that Juli Valenti has cooked, BUT I have read her first story; "Vancleave (Learning to Submit)". Juli shares something in common with the chef at Olivier's ... she knows that "spicy" and "hot" can be effectively separated for greater effect. Unlike the aforementioned chef, however, she DOES use both in her completed product - to their mutual benefit! (The literary equivalent of "foreplay" ... in fact, this is an incredibly accurate parallel, as you shal see if you read the work!)

I DO find it hard to believe that this is Ms. Valenti's first published work, however ... it feels like there is an experienced hand behind this story.

I look forward to her next published work.

Andrew I wish Vancleave were listed here so I could leave a review!
