Clearing the mystical air...

I've seen a lot of memes lately with the quote "We are the granddaughters of the witches you weren't able to burn." These new memes are citing ME as the author, which is incorrect.

As you can see from any screenshot of my book, I've correctly cited this quote in my book, The Witches of BlackBrook, as coming from "Unknown" after doing mass amounts of research into its origins. This quote has been considered public domain for many years prior to that, with the understanding that it originated from a Spanish language group, 'Las insumisas de Lilith', but even that fact remains unverified. However, it was first translated from Spanish by Ruby Hamad in an article she wrote in 2013, also citing "Unknown", which still remains correct today. The public domain quote has been used on many a t-shirt, coffee mug, etc., long before my book was published.

So, while stating that this quote is in my book is still correct (like here on Goodreads) I, in no way, have ever claimed to be the original author of that particular statement, and feel the moral need to set the record straight.
