M "Arts Education" is a new excellent post, like all your posts that I often read and always appreciate. Thanks for sharing, Jonah.

" Does education in the arts transfer to seemingly unrelated cognitive abilities? Researchers are finding evidence that it does. Michael Posner argues that when children find an art form that sustains their interest, the subsequent strengthening of their brains’ attention networks can improve cognition more broadly."

I totally agree with the arguments of this study. Education in the arts tranfer and develop cognitive abilities. I could also argue that Arts Education (all the arts) are relevant for adults to develop their own cognitive abilities.
I believe in Maria Montessori's method which helps to foster abstract thinking and to fulfill a child's highest potential, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Here's one of her best book The Montessori Method
But this method is also available for adults, specially with the development of Educational projects online. And a lot of us are working everyday with News Technologies!
