You are what you read, and readers are rarely bored. There's always another book to start, or time to reflect on what book you just finished. You become a reservoir. This both empowering and peaceful. You're engaged, and that is life. In the end we won't have our bodies, just our thoughts and words. If we haven't read much, we'll have little. I read books that are related to what people are talking about (sports, politics, war, religion, etc.) When I read a book I get a better perspective on what's being debated in the public forum, and the appropriate time to reflect on it. I always remember what I've read.
