David, I'm making my first foray into humor! I'm excited to let you know that my collection of news satire, Bizarre News, was just published. I'd appreciate it if you checked it out and recommended it to your Goodreads friends..Bizarre News

Hey PJ, sorry I missed your message while the book was free. I see it is still free to borrow with KU, so I will grab it there. You might also want to promote borrows on my Kindle Unlimited group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/60219... Good luck with the new release.
Hi David,Haven't talked to you in a while, hope you are well, and congratulations on your great success with your books.
I am sending this message to all my goodreads friends.
My new book is free tomorrow on Amazon (5/9/2015)
You would be doing me a huge favor if you downloaded it and helped send it to the top of the free list for the day.
As an Indie writer, this is the best form of promotion I have.
The book is short, but it took me a couple of years to write, believe it or not, so I do not consider this request spam. I don't like everything I write, but I like this book, so am making this extra effort to promote it.
Also, if you do read the book, provide some honest input (I can take it) and pass the link along to your friends if you are willing.
Free 5-9-2015
Just published won't be free again.

Hi David! Glad to join your giant friends list! And sure hope you and Pamela are enjoying this wild writing and publishing ride. With the sales and readership you have earned to date, I suspect you will be able to quit your dayjob pretty soon now! Oh, and have fun on Zombie Day! Tom.

I'm eagerly waiting for the third book!"I loved your review and put part of it on the promo page for Flotilla of the Dead. You (and others) are the motivation I need to write the next book. Thank you for the overly abundant praise. I'll try not to let it go to my head! Next book is in the works...
Mister David, I just want to say that the second book blew my brains away! It was beyond spectacular. I'm eagerly waiting for the third book!
Stephanie wrote: "Carl was sitting atop a hundred foot water tower watching the world disintegrate around him. There was a cool breeze coming off the ocean, but he was pretty sure that the chills he felt were more..."Wow. Thanks. This is the first fiction I've written, but I've read thousands of books. I try not get carried away with descriptive fluff, but still paint a picture now and then. As one reviewer says of the second book, "David weaves an excellent balance between dialog, description, and action."
Carl's character in the part you quoted relies mostly on description because he is a sole survivor. To let you in on a secret, I wrote almost the whole book with only Scott's storyline first. Carl was an afterthought. I felt the first chapters were a little slow and wanted to interject a contrast between those lucky enough to be on the ship and someone who was stuck in the middle of hell. So I wrote the Interludes in Hell and interjected them between chapters. I think it was the right decision. I won't give you any more spoilers. ;) Enjoy the ride!
Carl was sitting atop a hundred foot water tower watching the world disintegrate around him. There was a cool breeze coming off the ocean, but he was pretty sure that the chills he felt were more related to the horrific events he was witnessing than any wind chill factor on this mild spring evening in Southern California. In fact, Carl was numb to most external stimuli at that point. He had spent most of the day watching a city die.Forsyth, David (2012-01-15). Voyage of the Dead - Book One Sovereign Spirit Saga (Kindle Locations 885-888). . Kindle Edition.
My favorite excerpt so far! You've developed your characters really well considering I'm only 18% through it. I am really enjoying seeing the perspectives of both survivors.
Thanks Stephanie. You are just in time! Z-Day was Sunday. The voyage through the apocalypse continues through the next few weeks, including Flotilla of the Dead. This might be the first time that you can read a story like this in "real time." Don't rush through it, though. Too many other readers are already bugging me to release a third book... I hope it floats your boat! :)
Thank you very much, Faye! "Flotilla of the Dead" will be released before the end of this month and I will be sure to let you know when it is. It is great that you decided to buy the book, instead of waiting for the freebie, and even better that you liked it so much! Feel free to leave a rating/review here and at Amazon. I hope that the FREE giveaway tomorrow (set to coincide with the release of the virus in the book), will build some momentum (like a spreading virus) in the two weeks remaining until Z-Day! So please let your friends and social networks know about the FREE downloads tomorrow. Thanks again for the kind words and support.

Hi Mister David! I bought your Voyage of the Dead on Amazon the other day after I found out that it would be free this March 15, but I thought it would be better to support you than wait for it free-of-charge. I just want to say that it was a SPECTACULAR book. I finished it a few minutes ago and until now I'm thinking about it. I can't wait to read the second novel. Any updates when it would be out soon? Much thanks! Consider me a follower!
