Somewhere I saw a question asking about the "general" from the book. I felt bad for his situation but where I don't understand him - especially a man who led many - not to ask even his own son what happened that day. He had 10 years to question the events that happened prior to and leading up to the death. For a logical man this mind set does not make sense.
