Just read your ratings for Isaac Asimov. What a polymath! He seems forgotten today but I might check in on the Foundation vols.
He's still fondly regarded by sci-fi folks. The Foundation trilogy is definitely one of the cornerstones of his work, but then Susan absolutely hates it. I'll own that his writing is flawed, but there's still a lot to admire in it.
