Leta Blake ⚡️.99 CENT SALE⚡️
Leta Blake writing as Blake Moreno, with her darkest romance yet.

"This is a very powerful book. Dark, gritty, raw, and not easy to read. For an author to start a book out with such horrible darkness. To show us a humanity stripped of all its good and have us endure a Hell not many would survive and then turn it into a happiness we all wish we could feel just once in our lives? That's serious talent. I applaud the author and I do recommend this story." - Diverse Reader Reviews

"Know that this is a difficult book, but the love story is incredible. Both Russ and Wade are amazingly strong characters. Nothing about what they go through is easy and would break lesser men. I loved this story and it has made it onto my reread list because it brought me to tears and moved me a lot." - Christi Snow, author of the Snowcroft Men series
"This is a great read, difficult at times but the characters' strength and love come out loud and clear." - Crystal's Many Reviewers, 5 star review

*

"You're the strongest person I know.”

Wade Maguire and Russ Paulson are in love. After a year of passion and happiness, they’re buying a home and moving in together. Everything is rosy for them—until a jealous and insane ex from Wade’s past puts all of that to the test.

"I need to figure out if there’s a way to move past this. For both of us.”

After being kidnapped and tortured by his deranged former lover, Wade loses his ability to engage with his own sexuality or with Russ. With the help of a psychologist, EMDR therapy, and a sex plan, they work together to overcome the damage inflicted. In the process, they discover wells of love they’ve never known before.

“You never deserved what happened to you. No matter what you’ve told yourself. You only deserved love.”

As passion is reborn and their sex life reignited, Wade realizes a need to re-experience certain events in Russ’s loving arms. For Wade, the difference between pain and pleasure is love, and the difference between rape and rough sex is consent.

Dark, and yet ultimately hopeful, this story of true love and rape recovery contains many emotional and graphic scenes of two men making love, as well as some intense scenes of torture. Proceed with care.

The Difference Between is a 78,000 word steamy, graphic, intensely emotional novel with a strong happy ending. No cheating and no cliffhangers, just two men who fight for their love. STAND-ALONE

Leta Blake Hello! I just wanted to drop a note about Peter from 'Pictures of You'. He is guaranteed a happy ending (a happily ever after) by the end of the series. I just wanted everyone to know that. In case anyone was worried. :D Thanks for being such wonderful readers!

Leta Blake Book recommendations, por favor! What I'm looking for specifically includes any of the following:
1) Your absolute go-to m/m book.
2) Good effeminate character in a m/m book.
3) Favorite nerd/jock trope, yay!
4) Favorite comfort read.
5) Best m-preg because I'm a contrarian and when people hate something, I gotta have some of it.

Anything else you think I need to check out! I've got a ton of books on my e-reader right now, but for some reason none of them are really speaking to me. I need to spend some money. :P

Aw, yay! I'm glad to have you as a friend here, Ingela. :) And I'm so happy that you liked the new book! I've been nervous about it since it's so different from Training Season. Makes my night to hear that you enjoyed it! <3

Leta Blake Okay, Goodreads is so glitchy right now. On the main page, it shows The River Leith with 4 ratings, when I click that open, it shows 3 ratings, and when I click ratings details it only shows 2 ratings. That's the same number of ratings since Saturday, despite the other numbers changing over the last few days. The two it shows are a 5 star and a 3 star, but the average is 3 stars since Saturday, too? I dunna even know, you guys. So weird. And vaguely more stressful than just knowing that someone gave it 1 star or something. I should stop looking! *nods* (Psst, I probably won't. But I should.)

Leta Blake Jeez, found more than a few typos in the ARCs of The River Leith that went out. *sigh* Lead/led even! Fixing these for the final. If anyone with an ARC sees something and feels generous enough to let me know, now would be an awesome time! THANK YOU!

Leta Blake Has anyone with a Nook version of Training Season had trouble with it? I've had to friends tell me they're having a specific problem and I'm trying to decide if it's some bizarre fluke with just them and their Nooks, or if I need to get in touch with my formatter about this. Let me know!! Thank you!

Leta Blake I wanted to add Chimpanzees I Have Loved by Jane Goodall to my currently reading list but, alas, it's not listed here on Goodreads and I'm definitely not going to take the time to add it. It's great, though, and my kiddo is rapt!

Leta Blake So pleased that my blog is finally updating here on Goodreads again! Wonder what the dealio was?

message 14: by Leta

Leta Blake Why isn't Goodreads importing my blog posts anymore? It's so odd because when I got to edit the blog, put in the feed again, it shows all my newest posts and asks if this is correct. I click yes, and...poof! The new posts disappear and only the old posts still show. So bizarre. Guess I should make time to try to figure that out? Argh.

Leta Blake Because some folks don't like reading the light letters on dark at the Cup o' Porn site, I went ahead and loaded the kinky, deleted Training Season scene (flogging, bondage, blindfold, yay!) HERE. I also added a second chapter showing the deleted morning after scene. So, there's more for your bang at that link for those who can't get enough of Matty and Rob.

Leta Blake I was thinking about Calling Pomegranate today with regards to the ridiculous dispute about whether or not women should write (gay) men. I think that anyone who read Calling Pomegranate would find it indisputable that Nisha-Anne D'Souza has captured a male voice in a way that is at times amazing and appalling. (It took me awhile, but I have found my affection for Sean.) If you want to read a woman writing a decidedly male voice, give it a look. I'll warn you that it took me 25% of the way in to really feel anything other than appalled by Sean and his thought processes, but it was worth getting there. I think this book will end up being the one I think about the most in 2013 for many reasons.
