I appreciate my growing fan base. I used to write only for myself, now I write for my readers to enjoy as well. If I can get a scene right, I try to imagine its impact on the reader. Feedback, especially positive feedback makes it all worthwhile. Negative feedback is good too, at least they read the story! Writers are constantly learning.
