Thanks for adding me as a friend here, Janet! I love the sound of the summer blog topic of pickling summer pickles! A winter in Montana sounds so romantic! I am originally from cold country myself (Indiana) but reside now for many years in Sunny Phoenix, AZ

Sane people do leave Montana for the winter!! But my mother had hip surgery and my sister serious health issues so I was there happily to help.

I thought most people left Montana for the winter :-) This year it seemed longer than most.

I have a good friend in Ulm - though I don't make it there nearly as often as I would like to.

DEv -- how cool is that! Thanks for letting me know. MY sister's family used to live in Billings, but now most of the family is up around Great Falls. I was just there for three months (January to March) -- it was a cold winter!!
