"So... I never thought I'd be a fan of Malec because (especially in the first book) the age gap was weirding me out. Because I read Magnus as late 20s and Alec as 17. But as the books went on Alec started reading as a bit older and Magnus started reading as believably 20ish, and I also didn't realize he was actually about 800 years old which is a perfectly appropriate age gap so...
