“وفي هذه الأثناء، انطلقت البقرة من حظيرتها واتجهت للزرع، ركض خلفها الرجال محاولين الإمساك بها، وهي تزداد نفوراً وركضاً، اتخذت الزرع الطري ميداناً وتراكض أبناء الجار، المعروفون بقوتهم وسرعة عدوهم، فلم يزدها ذلك إلا هيجاناً. فكر الزوج في ما يجري وقال: عضلاتنا لم تنفع فهل نستخدم عقولنا؟ أشار على الجميع أن يتوقفوا، لعل المرأة تمسك بها، تضاحكوا وقالوا: هذه بقرة بها مس من الجن، كيف تمسك امرأة ببقرة عجز الرجال عن الامساك بها؟ أقبلت صاحبتها ونادتها باسمها الذي تناديه بها دائماً، وإذا بالبقرة تركض نحوها وترسل توسلاتها خواراً وكأنها تقول: أنقذيني من هؤلاء المجانين. تأخذها إلى الحظيرة وسط استغراب الجميع. ضحك الزوج وقال: مصيبتنا أننا نحاول دائماً أن نحل كل مشكلة بالقوة، وبنفس الطريقة دائماً.”
