"At the end of TKAM I learned who the true mockingbirds are in the story. Jem and Tom Robinson show bliss innocence when they are shocked by the outcome of the trial. Jem is scarred, therefore killing his mockingbird. Tom on the other hand, trusted that Atticus's defense would save him from going to prison for a crime he didn't commit.
