☼ Raeve is a *freaking* FASCINATING MC. She’s so multi-faceted and I really enjoyed following her POV for the majority of the book.

☽ I think the various POV’s and especially the past and present timelines worked really well for the story. And as it went on, the diary excerpts of the past were what I looked forward to most. They were mysterious & intriguing - I couldn’t wait to find out how everything fit together.

☼ Kaan is literal perfection. Even though he’s this big, kinda scary, powerful guy, he’s also kind and gentle AND loyal. *dreamy sigh*

☽ I think at times the world building was a little confusing. We get dropped into the story mid action, which in and of itself isn’t a bad thing and pretty normal, but the world seems complex so it’s a lot to take in up front. Also, some parts just weren’t fleshed out as much as I’d hoped, but I’m assuming that’s just first book problems that can be solved in the next.

Overall, a very captivating read. I couldn’t put it down because I NEEDED the answers like I need air. I’d highly recommend! The only downside is that the sequel hasn’t been released yet 🫠
