под тим теретом још дише. Чудо како данашњица још успијева да проклија кроз те
наслаге умрлога. Младе клице мучно прорастају покров сагњилих откоса што на њима
тиште, пробијају се на свјетлост, још блиједе, трептаве у сунцу. Бива ми јасна
неодољива жеља да се све то збрише, да се живот свега тога ослободи, да се започне
живјети сасвим изнова, на чистој, бијелој страници. И радосно, зазивљем тог новог
човјека, слободног као копиле, без јучерашњице, без наслијеђених терета.

Јер превише се наумовало, превише се начувствовало у том старом свијету. Накупило
се превише искустава, уморне мудрости, пепелних сазнања. Превише се око сунца
