" house of earth and blood is my first sjm book. it's an adult fantasy. a world full of angels, demons, faes, wolves, etc. and it is the world i never want to leave. i don’t even know how to put my feelings into words but i will try by making a list of house of earth and blood is my first sjm book. it's an adult fantasy. a world full of angels, demons, faes, wolves, etc. and it is the world i never want to leave. i don’t even know how to put my feelings into words but i will try by making a list of all the things i love about it:

1) bryce adelaide quinlan. need i fucking say more? girly was a gorgeous badass and she knows it. she’s loyal to the bone. she has a strong personality, takes no bullshit, and is actually a skilled fighter. i love her so much, I’M OFFICIALLY A BRYCE QUINLAN STAN.
2) bryce and danika’s friendship. it was so pure. their love for each other is the highlight of the book. light it up, bitch! also, 2.5 i guess uhm let me just add how sjm handled grief. i wanted to hug bryce, seeing how much she had to go thru.
3) the entire “who killed danika” investigation. it was 800 fucking pages and as i'm halfway through i still don't know who did it. IT WAS SO CONFUSING AND ALSO THE FUCKING PLOT TWIST HAD ME STARING AT THE WALL FOR 10 MINUTES.
4) connor holstorm. i don’t know how sjm did it, really. i don’t know how she made me so attached to a character who was only alive for idk, 5 chapters? ISTG EVERYTIME THEY MENTION CONNOR I BAWL MY EYES OUT.
5) of course, the male lead, hunt athalar. it actually took me a while to get attached to him but thank fuck i did.
6) the sexual tension between hunt and bryce. I WAS SO FRUSTRATED I JUST WANTED TO CRAWL INSIDE THE BOOK AND MAKE THEM KISS ALREADY.
7) I ALSO LOVE HOW SJM DIDN'T TURN RUHN INTO AN ASSHOLE. babie was a good brother to bryce pls
8) how sjm showed how ruthless the archangels were. it's my first time encountering a story with angels and demons that had angels as alphaholes.
9) the battle. the last 200 fucking pages. it was so intense it kept me on the edge of my seat, literally. i love how sjm really let bryce save the city. like she didn't just gave her one powerful moment then get so weak that the men had to save her. no, SHE REALLY MADE BADASS BRYCE ADELAIDE FUCKING QUINLAN THE STAR.
10) oh and let me just add the fact that they really killed their enemies, as in decapitated-chopped-body KIND OF KILLING.

the only thing i didn't like about it is how i have to wait for the second book. it was 800 pages long and yet i still craved for more. I NEED MORE. RELEASE THE NEXT BOOK NOW JUSEYO ...more "
