“I don’t dislike actors. But they are overhyped and glorified with fame and fortune. Actors simply read lines and change their facial expressions. Even then they usually need a director to tell them how to do it. It could be argued that actors are not creators or are at best secondary creators. Actors create something from something, usually a prewritten script. Whereas sculptors will create something from the raw material of the earth only using their hands and no other tools. In this regard sculptors are higher creators than painters, and painters are higher creators than musicians or writers who use symbols and tools to create. Actors however are the lowest of all creators. Perhaps that helps to explain why Hitchcock said, ‘Actors should be treated as cattle.’ Actors get acting jobs, just as a lawyer gets a legal job, but creative artists create. Lawyers do not create the law, parliament and judges do. They simply interpret and apply the law as part of their job. Similarly, actors do not create the words or the story. They simply interpret and apply the words from the script.”

“Yes, it’s true. Many actors are jealous of other artists. That’s why so many actors seek out those roles. Those artists have an X factor, which we do not.”

“But you never did?”

“Did what?”

“Played a role as a writer, or painter, or a musician?”

“I was never offered those roles.”

“Why not?”

“Not enough X factor?” she asked.

We both smiled.

“No Oscar?” I asked.

“No Oscar,” she replied. “Life is unfair.”

“The biggest lies, the biggest prize,” I said.

“What do you mean?”

“It was never just about performance or entertainment. Movies mostly carried agendas which the cult wished to promote. The actors who were happy promoting those agendas without question, without any moral standards, were the ones who received the Oscars. And it was not just limited to the movie industry. Nobel Peace prizes, Grammys, in some cases Olympic gold medals. The movies that won the Oscars usually carried the biggest lies. AIDS, space travel, wars, aliens, and the actors who won them were the most corrupt.”
