Francesca Williams is 51% done with Music of the First Nations: Tradition and Innovation in Native North America (Music in American Life)
This book is a collection of essays on different types of Native American music. It’s not a book I would read for fun, but I do find it interesting how different tribal nations “do” music. I think this text would benefit from a CD or links to where I could here the songs that are being analyzed.

I'm not exactly on 290, but I've read most of this book as I flip back and forth finding answers and writing papers.

Francesca Williams is 10% done with Moby-Dick or, The Whale
My husband is reading “Moby Dick” aloud right now. It has such a bad reputation due to school children being forced to read it, but it really is quite funny. The scenes are so vivid that I feel like I’m really living the story.

Francesca Williams is 50% done with The King's Fifth
I read “The King’s Fifth” as a girl, but started it again in 2007. At the time, I had a lot of difficulty focusing on anything, so I never finished—and then it got ripped up by my daughter. It is on the “in progress” list to motivate me to get a new copy and finish.

I didn’t bring “Ex-Prodigy” with me on vacation, so I will have to finish it in mid-August.

Francesca Williams is on page 650 of 777 of Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid
I made it most of the way through Goedel, Escher and Bach back in college in about 2000 or 2001. I had to return it to the library and, by the time I was given a copy, I had lost my momentum. It was a good read, though.
