This book is madness... I thought I must be approaching the 70% mark (despite the somewhat negligible advancement of the romance plot), but no... 45%.

DNF... There are a lot of things I can't handle about this book (sooo much fat shaming. I just can't.), but when the characters do something drunk that they'd never do sober, and the following day the heroine starts freaking out about it, that's really not the time for the hero to be like Hey girl, why freak out about the insane thing we did last night when you could spend quality time with my junk instead.

This section (Deliverance Stories) is resonating on a deep level.

I'm gonna DNF... this thing just took a turn, and... I don't really care what happens to bring these characters together. Theo is marvelous and awesome. She deserves better than this.

I don't understand why the sisters can't be told about the George/Richard thing... if Christiana was able to tell her maid, why not her sisters who helped her hide the body in the first place?

This book is so bonkers.

Got to say... I'm liking this one much better than the last few I've suckered myself into reading.

I am just loving the hell out of this book.

This is a book that torments the poor heroine, piling such grief on her shoulders. I really hope the story ends up being worth all that grief...

Hot damn! I love this anthology. Just started the third story, and... Gah.

If ever there was a book that's living up -- page by page -- to my astronomically high hopes, it's this one.

I was worried that all the gaming stuff would go over my non-gaming head, but actually I'm really loving this book. It's sweet and funny and exactly what my sinusitis-riddled self needs right now.

God, the romance novels in the backseat... I love how Stein allows her characters to seduce each other with books and reading.

So far, I think my favorite part of this book is the play between the things that are explicitly spelled out and the things that are just there. For example, Noah spends a bit of time spelling out the living conditions in the townships, but on the other hand there's the offhand mention of how he spent a lot of time alone during his childhood, playing with his toy.

It's always interesting to read a romance with so much chemistry between the characters yet be unable to fathom how they're going to get past all that separates them.

This is the kind of book that made me wish I had more free time for reading this week! It pains me that I can't just spend every minute reading it.

I'm going to call it. I don't know quite why, but I just can't get into this book. I read (and LOVED) one of the books in this series (#3, I think), and I was really glad that I had this one languishing in my TBR, but it's just not as engaging to me.

I knew O'Keefe was masterful, but she's actually making me feel sympathetic toward Max, and...I did not expect that.

I love Joan...

Longing suits this hero... I'm actually starting to like him.

God DAMN this book is good.

Seriously?! That's it. I'm done.
