Unbelievably GOOD! ..

All of the writers I've ever liked tend to embrace simplicity... and Thomas Perry is one of them. Reaching the middle of the book, I was fairly amazed by how amazingly this story was put, it's not necessarily a story, just a conversation/run through the details of human beings. What they'll do, and how, when, where ... Perry in action once more!

Wow! .. I just finished the Quarry TV show, but literally wow, I didn't think I'm gonna like Max's storytelling this much! So smooth and cool and engaging .. and I'm very much in love that it's a narrative by the protagonist. His point of view makes the whole ride more personal, so edgey and funny too.

"... so I could pick a time when I wouldn't have to spray your f***ing brains against the wall too? Thanks..."

"Bomb were acts of murder, but they were also jokes on you, riddles the bomber hoped were too tough for you, chances for you to pick wrong when it was almost impossible to pick right."

I certainly like Perry's style ..

"He loved the power. He had the ability to obliterate anything he wanted. And he liked the perversity of bombs. When he wanted to be, he was death."

If I turned 70, I'm still gonna read a Parker novel ..

Humour... relies enormously on stupidity, to be as cynical as life needs you to be. Bukowski, one of the strangest people I have read about .. tackles me, and the referee acts like he didn't see a thing.

"Life wore a man out, wore a man thin. Tomorrow would be a better day."

With every turn... Perry makes this chase even more empowering.
