I will not be finishing this book. This book is super cringey. Every line felt like it came out of a parody of how to write a bad book. The dialouge has to be oke of the worse written i have read, even worse then dialouge people make up to make fun of. The characters are extremely unlikable and not in a fun way.

The women's stories is certaintly one of the most moving & harrowing parts.

Ooh ... it's starting to get really good. The mystery of what happened with her parent's relationships is starting to pick up & I think her budding relationship with her dad, Howard is sweet.

While I do enjoy exploring this world more, some of the more ugly & problematic aspects of this series certainly are turned up in this book - fatphobia, homophobia & sexism defintley features promintley.

I'm trying to get back into reading a chapter a day. Slow and steady. The story is just starting to get really good, really introduce the magical world

Slow and steady wins the race I guess? I find that the books on kindle take me the longest to finish but I doesn't to try this format more.

Just finished book two and have found that I'm really falling in love with this series.

Didn't get as much read as I would have liked , but I am making some solid progress.

I'm starting to get really engrossed in this. Know that I've gotten myself oriented in the world of Dune, I feel like I can really dig in and enjoy my stay.

I found this on prime reading and being as I've wanted to read more Rick Riordan, I decided to dive into this series. I do like that it's a clean break from the Percy Jackson series & I found Egyptian mythology fascinating. Kindle is not my favorite format but well see how this goes.

I've come to the American history section, which like the world history section has quite a few stuff I am more familiar with so I find myself skimming more. However, I'm a history enthusiast & it is interesting stuff to read about for the first or just another time.

But then it reels me back in by getting good. And the flirting can be so cute.

Fun & intriguing at times, but also boring and eye rolling at other times, tiresome to get through. I find that I don't enjoy the Darien parts, only the Elle parts.

One thing that bothers me about this book is that it is somewhat culturally insensitive. As a Jewish person, there were a few times that Jews were mentioned that made me a tad uncomfortable.

For example, comparing what happened to the so called witches to the holocaust. The comparison is both unnecessary & insensitive. Or constantly pointing out that some people in history who committed wrongdoings were Jewish.

Listening to the audiobook after seeing the trailer for the movie & wanting to hear the story.

I want to read more nonfiction and this book has been a great way to reintrest me in the genre. It's taking me a bit longer to finish then I liked, and i hope I can finish it this week.
