Absolute shit this one.

Jean Van Hamme decides to turn every 80s conservative bugbear (public health systems, ID cards for everything, public holidays...) into dystopic mini - stories where every progressive policy ends up turning the state into downright fascism hellbent into squashing personal liberty.

The result, 30 years on, is HILARIOUS and exposes your typical conservative messaging as the hysterical yelling it usually is,

Ooooh boy, I had forgotten how terribly inapropiate some parts were.

Bloody hell, this is a haunting book.

I have no idea if this is going to be another disappointing Spidey book but:

- You are terrible with women

- I wasn't bitten by a radioactive Romeo

is banter for the ages.

Still working through it, but undoubtedly the worst big story Morrison did at DC.

Truly excellent book for anyone wishing to update his evolutionary knowledge with current science.

FFS, I called Surprise Villain's six books ago.

Ugh, Chaykin stop creeping me out and let me enjoy the groundbreaking stuff.

THE BLOOD. SO MUCH BLOOD. This must be the most violent book I've ever read. Given the amount of military literature I've read over the years, that's saying something.
