I'm considering dnfing it. As long as a book isn't horrible I usually stick it out but so far my book year can be described as pretty "meh". So maybe it's time to cut my losses earlier so I can switch sooner to another book I might enjoy more.

The English narrator is great but our main character falling over herself to please every man that shows even a crumb of niceness is eyeroll worthy.

"Are you asking me if I think I can fight one guard and a group of elderly women with embroidery hooks?”
“…yes?”
“My lady Halla, I have fought dragons on multiple occasions.”
Halla considered this. “Did you win, though?”
Sarkis coughed, looking suddenly embarrassed. “Well, one time."
