Silly, juvenile humor with simple block-toy writing. I can see this being a very good medium for a higher concept to transmit.

Until now, I haven't minded that the book was so long because it was a pleasurable reading experience that always moved along at a clip. But as the stories start to come together and the pace is picking up, I'm realizing how unnecessary some of it was. The effect is to make, for the first time, this book seem really, overly long. Spinning into the Dan Brown cliffhangers inside a 1000 page book is particularly funny.

Lyons is embarrassing himself. He woefully does not understand the world he's attempting to expose. The impression is of a wagon smith making fun of the Model T's design. Except he got kicked out of the wagon shop for being too old and useless even for them. Mostly, this book is confirming the importance of culture fit. Lyons is an underminer and a sap on resources - the reason why culture matters.
