I've only just started and I'm already COMPLETELY IN LOVE. Woolson is such an underappreciated genius and Anne Boyd Rioux's editing/context is an absolute revelation. I can't give adequate words for how thrilled I am that LoA has included this volume in their catalog.

Delightful. The perfect stylish, funny, escapist mystery. I adore all the characters and can't wait to read more. (This was the perfect first-book-after-finals pleasure.)

Excellent. Engaging and funny, turning the essentializing, stereotyping, divisive myths about what feminism is on their heads. Clever and effective at making you think more deeply. Even when I disagree with her, she makes my theory work harder and see other points of view.

Loved this. Profound and beautiful.

I really really liked the first 2/3 of this book and really dislike the last 1/3. The original premise is fascinating and until they get subsumed in Freud is a really great read.

I give up. I really enjoyed the first half or so and then just lost interest. I've tried to go back a few times and just . . . meh. Sorry, Alicia.

Can only read about 1 page a week of this, because there is so much to think about and savor. This is the "church book" I've been waiting my WHOLE LIFE for someone to write.

Barely getting into this one and it's already incredible. This is the book I've been looking for. Apparently, I want my religious theory written by professors of Comparative Literature. Who could have guessed. :)

Hmmmm. I dunno. We'll see. I'm not sure how much angry I can read before it starts to rub off on me. Brilliantly written though.
