Tried reading this some more, but I couldn't quite bring myself to continue when I didn't enjoy it. Most stories in this collection feel too bland in substance, and I couldn't feel the atmosphere everyone praises Poe's writing for. This just might not be for me.

Halfway through, taking it slow. There's quite a few good ones in here, but I find that most of the stories so far are not for me (in terms of the pacing and writing style). But the occasional gems are really good, so I'll keep reading.
