So-so. Halfway through, but I don’t get the hype.

Great

Enjoyable read with the ups and downs of family-owned restaurants and how different characters are affected. There’s a sad turning point in the middle of the book and it seems somewhat out of place for the story. We’ll see how it goes. I was initially interested in this book because I have a great memory of taking my young family to an old-school supper club in northern Michigan.

I’m very much enjoying this book. It’s hard to put down. Really informative in regard to the early history of the US’s involvement in the Viet Nam war.

Well written and very interesting - but, hard to read at bedtime which is my favorite time to read. Violence and death are obviously part of the story, just a bit unsettling.
