It is so odd the dialogue isn’t in quotes. It’s taking me a while to get used to!

I have been listening to the audiobook of The Starless Sea. At first, I was highly confused with the switching story lines. However, as I’ve listened further and further I am immersed within the books, within books, within books and in love with the whimsical narrative the author has woven. I hope the next half is just as beautiful as the first!

My sweet grandma found these books on sale. She knows I love cats and books, so she bought me three. Although I wouldn’t pick up this book for myself, I will delight in reading it because someone special shared it with me.

I wish I wouldn’t have checked this out at my library and bought it instead because this book is a gem. I love the mixed media. The writing is splendid. It is a beautiful work of art and I never want it to end.
