i just realized i need to be establishing how I feel about this book because truly it is already leaving its impact on me. first of all, i need to stop trusting people's opinions on books before i read them because my impression of this book is that it's boring. No, it is not. love the level of detail in this story, the thoughts that go into what had happened, the water imagery and metaphor. It doesn't go unnoticed

unfortunately this book is dragging me even though i'm decently through it. it's taken me a while to get to this point. i wish i was a big fan of the writing style but i'm just not. my favorite parts definitely have to be the letters but everything else in between i get the urge to skim
