I’ve gotta start reading lighter books, man. My options are this, The Wedding People, or A Farewell to the World. All a-little-to-extremely too intense for discussion with the third graders, methinks.

I came here to type that prev note, and in the three seconds it took my library loan to respond to my pause request, the narrator made reference to “dexamethasone.” The trawling damage is going to be even more extensive than originally anticipated, I think.

This book is a challenge. I love Picoult, and I already love this story, but I think it’s one of those books that’s going to drag a heavy trawl net along the inside of my person and tear up my inner ecology.
