It has witches and vampires, can't lose!

Loving this book by Emma Hamm. She has the most wonderful heroines. Sigrid is the last of her kind, a Beastkin Drakon shifter forced into a marriage with a spoiled Sultan. Watch the sparks fly. So good so far!!!

Mr. Carey, you write like a woman. Lucky bastard! I think "Fellside" was my favorite story. Also, to this day, I am unable to finish, "The Girl With All the Gifts". I love it, but, oh, how it terrifies me. And here I am with, "Someone Like Me". You really have a gift for bringing your people to life and hitting on subjects we might rather avoid. I am only a third of the way in, but will shut up and get back to it.

I like it and will keep going!!

I accidentally started reading book four and realized about three chapters in I didn't have a clue what was happening. Back on track now with book three.

Still enjoying, "The Waking Fire". The last five chapters have been, heavily, involved in character development. We get to meet a few new characters who could become integral to the plot. It is time to choose sides. <spoiler> are you Syndicate, Corvantine or Rebel? Does anyone find the novel to bed much less intricate than the "Raven's Shadow" books?</spoiler>

Well, we can all add cowboy/gunslinger to the whole, "genre/archetype", mishmash. This is pure spaghetti-western: ... Skaggerhill chuckled again. “No, but we hear you screaming we might come running quick enough for there to be something left worth saving.” — Oh, yes he did!
If Skaggerhill wasn't spitting tobacco out of his last two teeth as he was saying this, I will eat my kindle. Great book, so far!

This story is lovely so far. I was skeptical of the apocalypse mix with old tales of Irish lore, but I am bewitched!

I am enthralled with this book, so far. I have enjoyed Elizabeth Scarborough's fantasy books in the past, but had never heard of "The Healer's War" until it popped up in my reading recommendations today.

I have been on a Dan Simmons binge since this summer. He rocks. Carrion Comfort's mind vampires don't sparkle, they suck the light out everything. Fun stuff, horror junkies!

Always a pleasure to read more of Ms. Penny's Inspector Gamache. So far, it ricks!

So thrilled to read the latest Inspector Gamache novel. Just a few pages in and I have the shivers. Keep y'all updated. It's gettin' good!

Decent and reasonably exciting. The character actors were more fun than the hero. I read the next book, but I wouldn't want to pay for it.
