I like the premise but I’m a little bored with the setup

I feel like some things are just happening so fast?? And like wasn’t there talk of the time change not happening?

The not knowing is killing me I want to see what they see

Main conflict reveal has me stressed

I started this on audiobook and I could not deal with the voice actor I was cringing so hard I had to stop, return the audiobook, and take out the ebook

I never thought about the role of the pope in WWII because I always conflated Vatican City with the rest of Italy - Nazi occupied/allied - but that really wasn’t the case. Hitler didn’t encroach on VC so Pius XII could have and should have taken a bolder position but was driven mostly by fears of Soviet Communism? Like man you couldn’t have said anything to rile up the German Catholics to resist this shit?

I’m reading this on my phone and honestly reading white text on a black screen adds to the energy of this weird little book
