Finally decided I couldn’t stand the narrator anymore! Her attempts at different character voices in a French accent, no less, was so absolutely obnoxious I could not handle it! A bit like a train wreck you can’t look away from, I continued to listen, because the story wasn’t bad, for the most part. Then I realized the storyline wasn’t going anywhere else, so why continue to torture myself?!??

Finally gave up; can’t handle it anymore! The narrator is obnoxious with her attempts at different voices. After several weeks of taking breaks & then trying to finish listening to a tedious story, I gave up. I rarely do that, but life’s too short, right?? I am disappointed, as I have loved all of Lynn Austin’s books, & I was interested to see how this biblical timed & themed historical fiction would play out!

Finally gave up…there were some great aspects to the storyline, but it truly dragged on.
