I was scared to start this, considering the reviews but so far the book is not that bad. However it's also not this special. The beginning is imho a bit too much author's personal narration and education history. And while it is educating in a way pf explaining trauma and consciousnes basics, i see nothing outstanding

Honorary first 26 read since it was a gift from secret santa.
I already owned this book before and gave it away because I couldn't make myself to read it.
I will take this as a universal sign that I should.

So far I like the premise, but instead of actually going into psychology topics the author kind of just narrates her life and education.

The reviews also are quite questionable, but let's see how it goes

First chapter had me hooked, second and third almost made me drop it .... I really want the plot to be plotting, not a bunch of incoherent thoughts strung into a chapter.
Really hope it gets better

I said it once, and I will say it again, when someone says gothic romantasy, Rachel comes to mind. Beautifully written, it simply sucks you in. The first 2 chapters are really boring, because she begins in medias res, but it's worth pushing through. Also Bartholomew is everything🫶

I love how spontaneous, natural and tender everything is between Xav and Sam. The plot itself is very interesting and gets you hooked, but just the energy both of them have is so calm and steady and genuine. It's such a breath of fresh air, a perfect read for the spring so far. And I looove the cover! :)

Usually my requirements are pretty simple in regard of romance vooks, but WTF is this book... Idk how I didn't smash my Kindle already.
And such a shame, the characters are actually pretty decent.
I am a fan of all of Abby's newer books, so having this experience reading something of hers is unexpected and mildly infuriating.

Saw a lot of low reviews for this one, but I loved every book of Abby's so far. Let's see where this goes
