Oof. Contemplating not just the individual death, but the death of humanity. This is not for the weak of heart or mind.

A breath of fresh air to let go of hope.

Joanna Macy asks of us, “Do we cling to [hope] righteously because it is crucial or because we favor the comfort of positivity?”

It's nice to know my collapse awareness is not just me alone and it's a relief to just let go of hope and exist in radical acceptance for the end.

... I can't. The characters are so obnoxious and the only one I want to read about is one of so many others. I just can't stay engaged in the story. Not Abercrombie's finest work.

Enjoying it so far. Very accessible as a story.

So far I am in love with this. It's a neurologist's memoir, a story of her studies and her experiences navigating the understanding of the human condition and the human biology through the stories of herself and her patients. Despite not being finished, I highly recommend it so far.

This is terrifying. It's a little too relatable. This might be the most terrifying book I've ever read. I have to put it down to calm my anxiety every few minutes, but I gotta say it is very poignant and well written .

Maybe don't read while dealing with existentialism.
