The Darkling is 100+ years old and bent on genocide and Nikolai forces himself on Alina at any given opportunity, but people have an issue with Mal because he's protective of Alina and not letting her be taken advantage of? Mmmmkay

Why am I supposed to think the Inner Circle are the heroes?

1. Feyre destroyed Spring Court and hasn't once felt guilty for it. She's just..."oops, oh well."

2. They force a family to take in refugees when Rhys didn't let refugees into his secret city.

3. They murdered surrendered POW which is a fucking war crime in our world, and for good reason.

I hate this book.

Oof, Venka is handled with absolutely no nuance. She tells Rin so casually that she was practically disowned by her father for being r*ped and that she was forced give herself an abortion and was like "yeah, so anyway what's up with you?" This is the first female character aside from Qara who barely speaks a word and this is how you handle her? Yeesh.
