As ever, reading to learn and unlearn. I’ve seen criticism about this book and praise about this book. Going in with no expectations. I read Caste by Isabel Wilkerson 2 years ago and I was profoundly changed. I’m not sure this book will offer more/different perspectives but willing to try.

I was rushing a bit through the current book I was reading because I recently received the newest Stephen King book and I wanted to get to it.

Then I received this package in the mail today. I had won an ARC of a memoir about Joy, Death and Joan Didion. After reading the synopsis, I did something I have never done; I put aside dependable Stephen.

Who am I kidding.

I’ll show YOU, James Joyce. 👀 (I actually just miss Roland and Oy. All of them)

Starting for the X time. This is the book that will probably follow me to hell. Maybe this will be the time.
