If you want to understand our justice system this is a great and really easy-to-follow book. The vignettes contained therein are endless fascinating in providing much procedural insight without getting bogged down.

Not uncontroversial to say this is perhaps the most famous Ghost story in western literature after a Christmas Carol. I’m surprised by myself taking so long to come round to reading this one for I’ve read enough analyses to know how it goes, but, oh well, let’s see what shudders it gives on these nights of late summer!
