Very strange book so far... Its motto appears to be to raise a lot of questions, just to repeatedly state "I hope to grapple with these and related issues on another occasion." I'm struggling to figure out which elements are important for Nozick's argument and why, and what the overall argument is supposed to be(come).

I don't quite get the hype. The topic is too important for it to be treated in such methodologically questionable manner: very "journalistic" (lots of anecdotes/specific cases of unclear representativeness) and above all based mainly on survivors' memories (including topics such as illness and causes of death!), without any reflection on this sort of source material and its inherent limitations.

Trotz interessanter Gedanken fehlt dem Buch ein roter Faden, eine stringente Argumentationslinie. Die vielen Generalisierungen anekdotischer Evidenz, persönlicher Befindlichkeiten, garniert durch gelegentliche persönliche Angriffe, helfen auch nicht gerade. Insgesamt bisher eine Enttäuschung.

Ein bisschen repetitiv, aber ich bin gespannt auf die Details von Nussbaums eigener Theorie (die bisher vor allem implizit durch Kritik an Rawls zur Sprache kam).
