An excellent read, superseded by some other books at the moment.

Dense but very nicely written - great to read a few pages in bed cos it helps me to get to sleep !!!
Not sure how far through I am as my Kindle is not showing percent read any more ?

A bit repetitive?

Excellent, but at 800 odd pages this is gonna take some time!

Good story, nicely written but the characters were somewhat shallow + predictable. Easy to identify the “goodies” & the “baddies” so there were not enough surprises. Overall a bit disappointing.

I failed to finish this - it was rather dull and full of predictable characters, not that familiar with the type of people she was trying to write about. Extremely disappointed !!!!

Very poor. The Stieg Larson trilogy was superb & I think I quite enjoyed Lagencrantz’s first attempt at a follow up which if I recall was based on an unfinished script. However, this was dire - I’ve abandoned it at less than halfway through. The same characters but no plot worth speaking of - don’t even bother!!!

Slow to start much moe interesting in the latter part of the first third - very readable + well argued, but not sure if I will be able to last the course!
I commented to my wife that it’s a bit like a Ladybird book on anthropology so I’m rather distrustful of some of his conclusions. I’ll keep calm for now & carry on.

Nicely written and easy to read, but I’m scared to lose the thread so I’ve stopped for now & will save this for a holiday read - when I can read from cover to cover in a couple of days.

Superb - I read books 1 & 2 late last year and this one - book 3, is if anything even better. The writer’s style & language draws me in to the story & I really feel the ups and downs of all the participants. Her marriage is not working out too well, she will pull through it ‘cos she’s our heroine but how difficult will it be? Fabulous book.

Boring - fave it up I’m afraid. Better books to read than this one.

Started overnight into 22/2/18 - good story so far with familiar characters. It’s raining now in Hanoi , so I expect to make some progress this afternoon.

Pretty good - reading a bit slowly but it’s beginning to pick up after Lila’s pregnancy fails.

Very different! I'm probably about 75% of the way through - I've still to read the section about the trial. Always like stories with clear "goodies and baddies" - it's very clear here.
