I've been wanting to return to Robin Hobb for over a year, and it's great

I have been holding off on this one since it came out, having enjoyed Andy Weir's other books. I have no intention of seeing the film. I just want to say, should the event ever occur, that I read the book before it was a movie, and I have weeks left to do so.

This one's been retreading worn paths but then comes in with one of the coolest scenes...

I didn't mean to get sucked into this but I haven't read a Malazan book in so long, and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this universe. Sorry to all the other books I'm reading and/or want to read

I'm scared at how good this is.

Absolutely stunning

Not even 200 pages into this behemoth and there's a sequence that is so high stakes, it would be the climax of another book...but there's 500 more pages.

I've had such a bad run with books lately, but this one seems tailor-made for me? Hoping and praying to the Almighty this doesn't let me down.

This book, so far, has every fantasy trope in existence, but it's still compelling. We'll see how I feel in another couple hundred pages.

O'Connor ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - this one was fun, and I thought the writing was good.

Andrews ⭐⭐⭐

Dalglish ⭐⭐⭐

Boyce ⭐ - I could not, at gunpoint, tell you what this story was about

Quaintrell - ⭐⭐ nothing remarkable

Rowe - ⭐⭐⭐ Andrew rowe's story is the first I was excited to read because I had not read any of their other works, but planned to. I thought it was fun and the humor was endearing, but once again crossed that line of somehow being too much AND too little in only twenty-odd pages

Brennan - ⭐⭐ competently written story, but never gripped me

Barker - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I need to move R.J. up in my reading. This story matches the theme so far the least but boy is it spooky.
