Shocked by page 103, so convinced was I that I’d been reading the words of a different man. The perspective shift brought a sharp commentary to a central point of the novel: that our human experience is so deeply shaped by our nature, and the social construct built around it. While the words so stated, I was led to believe I wasn’t held captive by this nature, until the folly of my way was harshly revealed.

Often insightful but a bit slow. The name/event dropping is tedious. Understand the need for examples but something about the way it is written feels a bit Tahani (The Good Place reference).
