Love that Nina recreated Anna’s nightmare. Anna had no good reason to kill Sebastian and then because Jordan’s father started getting suspicious she had him killed too. It’s crazy how she can be so warm and loving towards Jordan but be this cold-hearted murderer underneath. Glad that Ruth is safe and Anna ended up being sentenced

I feel bad for Kenna and wish she could be with Diem who has no idea who she is. That’s a part of Scotty that she could have but his parents are making it difficult for her. I love Martha so much!! She speaks her mind and supports women during some of the hardest times of their life. Dr. Page is fucking useless and I’m glad she told him to stop delivering babies and he begrudgingly agreed. Martha’s husband is so sweet too and truly cares and loves her. Love that her daughters both found good men to be with too.

Love a good historical fiction and mystery from time to time. This Burgess man has been murdered but he was also one of the men to rape Rebecca Foster. She’s pregnant with one of her rapists’ baby!! And now her housekeeper Sally Pierce just accused her of fornication and her husband for murdering Burgess. Ughh
Also there was a flashback but I’m a little confused on if the hanging then was important or not yet

Wow a lot happened at the end there. She’s pregnant and worried Jacob won’t stay with her forever and pushes him away because of it. The kidney donation is successful though and while he’s in surgery he gives her his journal to read 🥺 so happy they do things for each other to help with each other’s anxiety/trust. And they named their baby Ava not Xfinity 😂

Ughhhh this book is kinda making me mad. You have sex and then regret it because you’re not talking through things. Then you finally do and everything is great and perfect until you see your ex-husband and it completely shatters the bubble you were in and now you’re wanting to give up your relationship because you think sweet, amazing, loving Jacob would do that to you? OMG Jacob being able to donate his kidney to Benny 🥹 Briana going along with Jacob’s charade and the family dinner was great. Looove the back and forth of writing letters to each other. Also really refreshing to see the male main character struggling with clinical anxiety instead of the FMC being anxious all the time.
Poor Briana though. About to be divorced because her husband of 10 years cheated on her with Kelly who was supposed to be her friend. And her brother suffering from an autoimmune disease and needing a kidney 🙁

Kitt’s behavior was giving me Red Queen vibes for sure. Sad that he died but I feel like it needed to happen for Ilya to be the way it was supposed to and for Kai and Paedyn to be together in plain sight instead of just at the willow tree.

Omg Kitt made himself sick with the Plague! I knew it. Did he give it to Kai’s mother too and that’s why she’s so sick? That would go along with Kitt’s possessiveness for Kai…

Poor Kitt 🥺 but also oh my god he became dark. All he wanted was to be loved, prove himself to his father, be great, and leave a legacy behind. He kind of had an obsession with Kai and wanting his love all to himself. Paedyn was just another pawn in his scheming. I knew something was up based on Kitt’s interactions and the fact he kept getting sicker. He was scheming the entire time!

Ugh also forgot to put this here earlier but Paedyn’s last trial where she thinks she’s killing Kai 🥺 and then finding out is was Mak who wanted to be with Adena in the sky anyways 😭 ughhhhhhh 😫

Does Kitt have the Plague or something? I just have a feeling he’s going to die so that Kai and Paedyn can be together without the confusion of her being married to Kitt and then leaving him for Kai

Ok not all related but Kitt and Paedyn are half siblings and they just got married. Kai is from another man so Paedyn and him can be together and it’s not gross. Yay! But also these royals be cheating. Iris with Callum? Kai’s mother with this other guy? What about Ava’s father?? Are any of these kids actually the king’s?!

Please don’t tell me Kitt, Kai, AND Paedyn are all related. Ew

How many times are we going to bring up how you betrayed Kitt, killed his father, and want to be like you were before all of that happened? Come on Paedyn. Despite this, you’re still a badass for getting the crown and taking care of those bandits. First trial done

This book was longer than it needed to be. It took them so long to get back to Ilya and not much was happening. It seemed like they would start their way back and then someone would either attack them or Paedyn would try to escape from Kai. I think that there were parts that could have been cut out completely because there was no substance to what was happening. I also didn’t like Kitt’s POV.
