A bit of a slow start but loving it now

DNF for now

i HAVE to finish this by the end of the week! This book has such a complex vocabulary that it’s hard to get into the story.

Decided to DNF for now. Kadou gives me selfish vibe, and I can’t get passed that.

So far so good-ish! Kadou was a bit infuriating regarding his situation with Tadek. I better see character development form him! Also, I hate Sorinso or whatever his name is.

Ok so I think Eve is crazy or that’s just what Marcus wants us to think… Why would Charlie be angry about Eve calling her?

I wanted to give my predictions. The map in the beginning made sense with the stare until you can’t moment in the basement. I feel like the book wants us to think it’s the family that is bad, and the narrative Eve is spinning is doing a good job of that. But, it’s also too obvious if the fam is the problem. Perhaps the house is haunted or the dad is secretly a psycho, or in a cult. Why did they give up the lab?

So far so good! I like how it immediately got into the plot. 66 pages went by fast. I love the mini stories about Eve. It really shows her character through them. The unease she conjures up about the family because of her paranoia. She’s so me fr.

There have been two sentences with Charlie and not caring come up, so I’m suspicious. She needs more self awareness. I’m excited to see where it takes us.
