Not bad, but it’s dragging. I don’t care for the changing POV in this one either. Sometimes I miss that it even changed and gotta go back.

Kinda hoping the author bumps off the nephew. (Don’t worry. The nephew isn’t real. He’s a filler prop because there’s no story here.)

The drama is just way over the top and terribly juvenile. There is no way this is a true story. Maybe heavily embellished. Chris has an infinite supply of victim cards and he’s not afraid to use them. Mark is a narcissistic bro-jock with a serious problem with the word no. Mark repeatedly suggests that Chris is menstruating when Chris throws yet another tantrum. Hello, misogynist prick. Smh.

The author’s vocabulary doesn’t jive with his age. I’d buy it if Mark didn’t also use the language of a much older fellow. That said, I’m oddly drawn to this story.

Sad to say...I am bored with this. Convo is dry, they’re barely friends, no connection of any kind. Guessing there will be some sort of incident, then the mom will die or something and that story comes out, then they’ll try to work it out ...zzz

This author is clearly not American and probably pushing 50-60 years old. Dialogue matters, folks. Smh.

This writing is all over the place. Characters act like they’re 90 years old one minute and 14 years old the next. The MC’s thoughts are boring af. Why do I buy this stuff?
