and i’m back on goodreads hoping to leave my socials and the tv shows i’ve seen fifty times before in favour of … BOOKS! wow! such innovative! much revolutionary. love this for me. so, in order not to scare myself out of making progress i’ve set a very low challenge this year—five books—in hopes i’ll massively overcome it.

been a slow weekend

slow day today and tomorrow i reckon it will be too, but i’m liking the book a lot and it’s keeping me interested. although i wonder what on earth can happen to fill the rest 800 pages since most of the action that i know of has already taken place and the plot is basically done? either that, or ive forgotten the little i found out from that joe wright film

interesting page also sooooo interesting so far, im enjoying it massively and it’s so so easy to read. dunno if it’s tolstoy or the translation or both, but it’s smooth sailing for me thus far, even levin’s chapters from the countryside [although short enough, i reckon they’ll get longer as i progress into the novel and i do quite dread that thought ngl] have been easy and pleasant. i’m excited
