I think it’s very brave of her to take a big step and change her name. Not many people go that far. The fact that she is as passionate as she is about it, shows how important it is to her and how much she loves poetry.

She was saying Mr. Smith face was more red than she’s ever seen his face was. This was when she told him she was gonna change her name and become a poet. I think he was in shock because many people don’t go as far as changing their name and she was really adamant about it.

She has decided to change her name. She felt like her name was boring and she needed a more exciting one. She feel like this will get her out there in her career of writing because it’s different and not like everyone else.

It started talking about how she wants to be a famous poet one day. I found this ironic because this book is actually a long poem. She’s connecting her future to the books structure.

The books starts off by saying how she looks different from others. She’s not in the popular group, and just basically an outcast but, she was f always like that. Her mother did die from cancer, and I believe that’s probably the reason she has changed. The death took a huge tole on her.

In this part, it was exposed that Tom was talking to other women. Everyone pretty much knew from assumptions, but not his wife. He was frantic when he found out that the news got out. My question is why was he so out about his secret relationship if he didn’t want his wife to find out?

They start to talk about the interaction with the people in west and East egg. The interactions are minimal. I wonder if things are like that here? Do people with money talk to people who grew up with money? I feel like it’s not that big of a deal now, everyone interacts.

The book stated taking about the different types of people in their town. People with old money and people with new money. They are split between East and west egg. West is where people with new money live, while East is where people with old money live. I wonder if this is how people are set up today and different towns in the world?

The book really does a good job of creating the mood of Gaspy and how others think of him. They make him seem like a mysterious man that everyone new about but didn’t actually know. It really made me as the reader, want to know more about Gaspy and why this was the case that no one knew him on a personal level.

Bolt won another race. The feeling of when you win a race is unbelievable. You feel like all your hard work has finally paid off. In track and field, a lot of work is required and to feel like all those hours of work was worth it is unexplainable.

He’s off to another race. It’s so crazy how much a race is mentally and how he tries to stay in a good set of mind to do well. He’s getting ready to run, isolating himself and clearing his mind. I can relate because before I race I clear my mind and in vision the race before it actually happens.

They talk about what goes through his mind when he is racing. He mainly says he focuses and in visions the race in his mind. I can relate because when I jump I in vision me jumping over the bar before I actually take a jump.

Usan bolt is someone I really look up to. He really has determination and work ethic that is hard to match. I honestly feel like once you find something to do that you truely love you’ll work as hard as you can to succeed. He found his passion and works hard everyday to keep doing well.

Bolt really starts to open up and show how much running means to him. He truly enjoys it and it has brung so much joy to his life.i can relate as well because even though I don’t like running as much, I really enjoy high and long jump and I don’t know what I would do without it.

They are finally getting a chance to speak with bolt himself and his family. You can tell they are a tight knit family and love each other. They talk very highly of their country. They truly have so much pride in their country and where they are from.

The journalists is getting to know the bolt family. It’s very different how it is for family’s here. Even the Neighborhoods look different. They have a lot of color houses and it’s not as big as it is in America.

A lot of talented people in track and field originate from Jamaica. Is it because of how much pride they have in the sport? The are now visiting Jamaica and visited Bolte’s house. I wonder how different it is from how America is.

The whole deal about drugs is shocking to me why are they just now seeing that it’s a problem. People have been using things like steroids for a while now, they should’ve been doing these drug test. I believe they should do them in high school as well, because they will once you get to college.

Why do the Jamaicans have to be the guinea pigs to this new high school drug testing idea. Also, why are so many athletes partaking in these drugs if they know they are going to get caught? I believe they are addressing a big problem we have today and drug testing should occur with more sports than just track

It’s amazing how much pride Jamaicans have in their athletes. They are so proud of what their former athlete ran. Their pride in their country is like no other.

There’s this one boy who ran the 4x4 and he sprinted the first straight away!!! If you know anything about running the 400 you know that will tire you out by the second part of the race and you’ll have no more energy to finish. But, he maintained his speed the whole way everyone was SO shocked. He ended up running a 44 split which is unheard of, especially at his age.

The kids in Jamaica have it very different than the ones in America. It says they would be excited to even get the chance to run on a real track. Saying that a lot do still stay in Jamaica and run for their country instead of going to college in America and run for their teams.

The book is still focusing on drugs. They are going to start drug testing at early ages.It also really shows how different Jamaica is to the rest of the places they go for meets. There’s a lot of sponsors and scenery at the meets.

Bolt is looked up to not only for being the fastest in the world, but also being clean without drugs. He once again won another gold, even dealing with minor injuries. Also, a lot of previous runners who did get caught using drugs are getting a lot of hate from others.

It’s amazing how fast Bolt actually is. People try to keep up with him but his long strides give him a advantage. He also is clean and has no drugs in his system, so it’s fair.

Many of the athletes are getting disqualified for the use of drugs. My question is, if they know they are going to get drug tested, why are they still using drugs? They get drug tested ALOT in this level of sports, up to 20 times a year.

I wonder how it feels for everyone to know you as the fastest Man on earth? He did say he like and dislikes it. But, he has to feel some type of great accomplishment in doing so. Being able to say your the fastest man on earth is a huge deal.

They are at a race in Beijing. People didn’t believe he would win. I wonder if this motivated him to do better. He ended up getting 1st. He broke the olympic record with 9.63.
