i’m alone at work this week, so i got through a good deal of this audiobook today. so far it is really good.

enjoying this a lot, I think the pacing is nice. but please god why are we using the term "slaveys" for these poor murdered housekeeper girls

i’m getting fed up. Jon comes to the hospital with a twisted ankle, she fixes him up, he then kisses her out of the blue and she (the only dr on staff at the hospital) leaves early to go talk to him. they declare their love and then immediately are going at it. keep in mind she was in the middle of doing autopsies

they just saved this child from her kidnapper and Rachel is tending to her wounds. she asks Jon to go tell the mother that the child is alive and safe and he chooses THAT moment to try and bring up their potential relationship ???? go die

this romance is getting on my last nerve 😭 her ex-fiancé shows up and is like “I know you left me for Jon. you dress me exactly like him and you think of him when we made love” and she’s like “YOURE RIGHT AND IM EVIL FOR IT” (yes, you are) and then the ex shows up to Jon’s place of work, drunk, to expose her lifelong crush and tell him that she deserves the love she wants from him. shut uppppp

why were you making out with a 17 year old. this man had served in the army and then been a police man for a few years, but he's almost having sex with his dead brother's sister after she comes home from a high school party. girl what was with the 80s and these situations.

ugh it's hard cause i WANT to believe the mom, but she's also using every abusive alcoholic's excuse that's ever been said
