I could absolutely read something other than DCC. I'm too invested tho

DNF at 30%

I don't think there was anything wrong with the writing of this book and I do believe at some other point I'd really enjoy it. For the time being this is a soft DNF. I just couldn't connect with the characters or the story and it did feel a little lackluster for me. That said I am pretty sad cause I did want to read at least one queer book this month.

I am loving the science, the experiments, the humor and I absolutely LOVE Rocky. He's the cutest ever!!!

I'm absolutely eating this up!!

I struggle with empathy on my day to day. And I truly want to feel for this woman. Even as I'm listening to it on audiobook narrated by her, it's hard to feel, and understand her feelings when she sounds so apathetic herself.

Thank goodness part two was better, otherwise I fear I would have dnf'ed

Can I say I cannot stand the protagonist. Yes her working conditions are not the best, still she's at a better position than when she started. She complains, she underperforms as a maid, and her thoughts about the other staff members and her own employer are quite disturbing to say the least.
I have to say every chapter she gets even more irritating.
