I've lost count of how many times I've read these books but I still get completely sucked in and they still make me cry again and again. Perfection.

Last night I saw the film so today I'm reading the book.

This one's got a bit too much teenage angst for my liking.

Ed just described how he makes tea and I'm not sure I can support him as the hero of this story anymore.

Be right back, going into some kind of book coma with this one.

I've finally finished it!

Someone had Gaucher disease! This is exciting because I did my PhD on Gaucher disease. It's less exciting because the science was poor :(

There's one thing that's bugging me about this book - none of the lists have commas! It can really make a sentence confusing.

This book has no depth, no emotion and 1-dimensional characters yet I feel strangely compelled to keep reading. Because my chances of finding another Jordanian novel are slim? More because there are some interesting cultural notations that I enjoy although reading reviews makes me doubt their authenticity. Hmmm.

So yesterday I bought the book I have to read for this month's book club (in two weeks) but also The Shining and the latest Ben Aaronovitch both of which I've wanted to read for aaaages. AND on Friday I started re-reading Chocolat AKA my favourite book ever. There is not enough time in the world.

This sentence made me feel a whole lot better about the terrible, ineradicable impressions I'm sure I made on some people of prominence today.
